Mons. Akamine visit the General House PDF Print E-mail
On the occasion of the meeting for recently nominated Bishops promoted by the Congregation for Bishops which took place between 7-16th September, the new Pallottine Auxiliary Bishop of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Mons Julio Endi Akamine (SP) visited the General house community and presided at Mass in the Church of San Salvatore in Onda with a large participation of the local community. In his homily Mons Julio Endi Akamine spoke of the tasks of a Bishop, especially in apostolic spirit and of service to others. And with a smile he agreed that these two tasks corresponded exactly to the Charism of Pallotti.
Don Julio Akamine is the Vicar Bishop responsible for Consecrated Life in the Archdiocese of Sao Paulo. A particular and fraternal time was his meeting with the General Regime. In the name of the Pallottine family Fr Jacob Nampudakam, wished him well in his new Episcopal service in the Brazilian church. Mons Ekamine thanked the Society for its support and for the gift, he had received.
His brief participation at the course for those responsible for Ongoing Formation in Via Giuseppe Ferrari in Rome is a sign of the bond which Mons Ekamine will continue to have with our, and always his, family.
