SourisVerteMap - La Souris Verte Rome was the cradle of the Society, but already in the time of Saint Vincent Pallotti his collaborators began their pastoral work in other Italian cities and in London. Little by little the Pallottine presence spread to all the continents. The paths of this diffusion were at times unforeseen and surprising, at other times well planned and prepared. The needs of the local Churches, political disorders, events such as wars or projects of individual confreres led to the present state of the Pallottine presence in the world. The number of Pallottines changed in the different parts of the world according to the number of local vocations and of missionaries sent. Presently the Pallottines work in more than 40 countries of the world. The largest communities are found in Poland, Germany, Brazil and India, as well as in several African countries. |
