Common Period of Preparatory Formation in South America PDF Print E-mail
Periodo Introduttorio SudamericanoJanuary 10th 2011 will be remembered as an important day for the Society of the Catholic Apostolate, in particular for the Provinces of "Santa Maria" (SM, Brazil) and St. Paul Apostle (SP, Brazil) and for the Regions of "Our Lady of Lujan" (AR, Argentina), St. Vincent Pallotti (UR, Uruguay) and "Mother of Mercy" (RJ, Brazil). On this day, in the Community of "Queen of Peace" in Cornélio Procópio, the common South American Period  of Preparatory Formation with the request for admission and acceptance of fifteen candidates: ten from the Province of Santa Maria, two from the Region of Rio de Janeiro, one from the Argentinean Region, one from the Uruguayan Region and one from the Province of Sao Paolo.
The institution of the common period of Preparatory Formation in South America responds to the request of the General Council to widen collaboration between the Provinces/Regions in South America. In order to promote it right from the beginning, nothing is more appropriate than starting with this phase of formation which aims, as its name suggests, at introducing candidates to the Society of the Catholic Apostolate and its charism, spirituality, pastoral work and way of life.
