1. Message from the General Coordination Council of the UAC

Greetings to all the sisters and brothers in the UAC! At this time we give thanks for our enriching and life-giving experiences at the General Congress which took place from 8 to 13 April 2010 in Rocca di Papa just outside Rome. Our presenters nourished us spiritually, intellectually and apostolically through their talks on the vision of St. Vincent Pallotti, what it means to be apostles and his view of mission. Then we were privileged to hear the witness and testimony of members and how they live out the mission of our Founder – in the formation of our members, in the missions abroad, in the lives of young people today, how we serve the local Church and how this mission can be lived out in the family. Our one-day pilgrimage to Rome on Sunday 11th brought us into physical proximity with places which St. Vincent frequented during his life and ministry. To witness to the world and be part of the sea of UAC members and collaborators at the Sunday Regina Coeli in St. Peter's Square was an especially heart-warming experience. The celebration of the Eucharist in the central church of our faith, as an international UAC family, brought home the message that we are truly a child in union with the universal Church. We belong. 2. Mission of Pallottine Youth in Brazil

From May 22 to 25, 2008, in the Pallottine parish of St. Joseph in Curitiba, a big and fascinating celebration of mission of Pallottine youth in Brazil was held. 160 young missionaries from various Pallottine parishes were present at this event. They first participated in a day of retreat of preparation and then visited about 500 families of four of the parish communities. The young missionaries reflected on the socio-religious realities of the families in these places. The Pallottine youth in Brazil is already preparing for the next event with great enthusiasm, which will be the Brazilian Congress of Pallottine Youth scheduled for 25-27 July 2008. 3. Missions SAC - N°2

The General Secretariat for the Missions has prepared the second bulletin, "Missions SAC", on the missionary activities of the Society. The Provincial/Regional Secretaries sent materials on their missions and apostolates to Rome, which were edited and translated into seven languages and were then sent out to all the Major Superiors and Mission Secretaries for distribution. We hope that the information on the missionary initiatives of the Society will increase the missionary spirit and enhance collaboration among the Pallottine entities.

4. Mons. Elói Roggia, SAC

The General Council, on behalf of  Mons. Elói Roggia, Pallottine bishop of the Prefecture of Borba (Amazonas, Brazil), thanks all the Provincial and Regional Rectors for the readiness and sensibility demonstrated in responding to the appeal in favour of the Prefecture and for the significant financial contributions made. Such gestures show the love that the Pallottine family has for the missions, for the person of Mons. Roggia and for his Prefecture.
