1. Blessing of St. Vincent Pallotti Church at Siyum, Arunachal

The new mission of the Epiphany Province in the North Eastern State of Arunachal Pradesh, India, entered a new phase of development on 29 March 2009, when the Bishop of the diocese of Itanagar, Rt. Rev. Dr. John Kattrukudiyil erected Siyum as an independent parish, entrusted it to the pastoral care of the Pallottines, and appointed Rev. Fr. Augustine Kolencherry as its first Vicar. On the same day he, assisted by the Provincial Rector, Very Rev. Fr. Augustine Varickakal and Provincial Consultor, Rev. Fr. Gorge Madeikal, blessed and inaugurated the newly constructed St. Vincent Pallotti Church at Siyum. The first missionaries, Rev. Fr. Augustine Kolencherry and Rev.Fr. Anto Mullanal deserve our appreciation for their hard work and this achievement in such a short period of time.
